The Latino Commission on AIDS (LCOA) has partnered with the National Hispanic Medical Association, a nonprofit group representing 45,000 Latino physicians in the United States, according to an LCOA statement. The groups will share resources to reach out to, advocate on behalf of, and improve the health of Latinos with HIV/AIDS in the United States and its territories. They also will work on reducing health disparities between Latinos with HIV/AIDS and their white counterparts.
