Award-winning multimedia spokesperson Joscelyn Ramos Campbell, PhD, received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and Volunteer Service Award for her achievements in advocacy, public relations, humanitarian rights and more, according to a news release.
The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award is among the highest civilian honors granted by the United States president. In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award in recognition of the essential role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity.

Born in Brooklyn to Cuban and Puerto Rican parents, Campbell, who is bilingual, has over two decades of experience in federal and local government, multimedia and humanitarian rights.
She served as a public relations executive in the federal government under the Bush and Obama administrations.
Campbell told South Lake TV that working for the government took her all over the country and introduced her to many different types of people, especially those most in need of support.

In 2018, she founded Hope Torchlighters, a nonprofit providing stability, wellness and advocacy to families with special needs and neurodiverse backgrounds in Groveland, Lake County and Central Florida.
Campbell is also executive director of Nathaniel’s Hope Buddy Break Respite Care at Hope International Church.
Buddy Break is a free monthly program for children with special needs. Kids can play games, make new friends, craft or just hang out while parents and caregivers enjoy a much-deserved day off from daily responsibilities. Buddy Break also provides parents and caregivers with tools to ease their journey raising a special-needs child.

Campbell also founded the award-winning parenting and lifestyle website Mami of Multiples, which offers resources and helpful tools for all families.
Her extensive work has been featured on CBS, NBC, NBC Latino, FOX, Huffington Post, CNBC, Univision and Telemundo, according to the release.
Campbell continues to actively serve her community in various roles, including as the elected chairwoman of Groveland, Florida’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee.
“I am so honored that I am able to do this work right here in Groveland—right here in Central Florida,” she told South Lake TV.
