“Now Open!” That’s a phrase you don’t hear much lately, but it’s the welcome news from a new HIV clinic in Arlington, Texas, that serves Tarrant County. Operated by CAN Community Health (CAN), the clinic offers a variety of HIV care, treatment and prevention services along with testing and treatment for hepatitis C and sexually transmitted infections, or STIs (see the list below for a list of other services offered).

The clinic makes its services available regardless of a client’s insurance or ability to pay. What’s more, the clinic is a Ryan White provider and also offers telehealth and transportation services.

“We know that access to quality, affirming medical care can improve our health and wellness, reduce the spread of HIV, as well as create stability for those living and affected by HIV,” said CAN president and CEO Richard E. Carlisle in a press statement about the opening.

According to the clinic’s website, CANCommunityHealth.org, the Arlington site’s family nurse practitioner is Nadia Winston, MPH, who is “dedicated to providing HIV and primary care services to a diverse panel of patients.”
