Stay Hydrated
Despite what you’ve heard, there is no magic number when it comes to individual hydration, but eight glasses a day is a good place to start. Water is essential for all of your body’s functions, and because your body
- Drink more water than usual. Carry a large water bottle with you wherever you go, so you never have far to reach for a sip.
- Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink more fluids (you may already be dehydrated).
- Drink two to four cups of water every hour during outdoor activities.
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine or liquids containing high amounts of sugar.
