Save $ and Ditch the ER

Minor illnesses and injuries can be treated quickly, efficiently and for 20 to 30 percent of the price of an ER visit at an Urgent Care medical practice, reports Mark Melrose, MD, the director of emergency medicine at New York City’s Beth Israel Medical Center-Sinter Division (North) and Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. At urgent care practices, patients spend little-to-no time waiting to be treated and the facilities can also provide superior customer service.
